Strong Enough To Start
Starting any new adventure can be daunting. I entered into medical school, became a doctor, and specialized in neonatology (caring for sick and premature babies). After I started my career I got married, struggled with pregnancy losses and infertility, and became a mom. Through each new phase in life, this quote would ring in my ears: “You can, you should, and if you’re brave enough to start, you will.” - Stephen King
…If you are brave enough to start.
I have wanted to start a parenting blog ever since I became a mom. And I have wanted to write a book about the journey families experience in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for at least 10 years. And although I get distracted by the other urgencies in my life, my mind keeps coming back to this quote…
…If you are brave enough to start.
So here I am - the year is 2020. I have decided that I am brave enough to start my blog and write my book. I hope you will join me on this new adventure - an exploration into what it means to parent in all environments. Click on the NICU Families navigation page and take a survey. I would love to share your NICU journey with other families who will be learning the meaning of #NICUStrong in the years to come.
